The VWC website now has a capability to have members post new discussions (called Threads) or comments/additions to exisitng threads. This capability can be used to post projects, including "crv" files and photographs of projects.
Comments/suggestions for new Discussion Topics and other comments should be directed to woodshop@thevwc.org.
Gadgets are really neat shortcuts to perform some otherwise complex drawing and modeling tasks. They can be accessed from your VCarve main screen as a tab, labeled Gadgets. You can obtain additional information on installing Gadgets from the following URL: https://gadgets.vectric.com/ .
To assist you in this thhere are two ways gadgets are distrbuted:
a. Executed File - In this case the file has a file type of ".exe" and can be executed by clicking on the file name. The jprogram will then load your gadget. See attached file ExecuteLoad_Gadget_Install.zip for a collection of gadgets.
b. VGADGET File - In this case the file type is ".vgadget". You will need to use the Install Gadget option under the Gadgets tab. Select the "vgadget" file and it will be installed for your use. See attached file called DirectLoad_Gadget_Install.zip for a collection of gadgets.
As a point of interest the gadget files, along with other Vectric files, are stored on you computer in the "C:\Users\Public\Documents\Vectric Files" directory. This is the normal location.
