Increased inventory of standard wood selections 
During the closing of Rolling Acres, we increased the inventory levels of our standard selections to ensure that we maintain an adequate selection for everyone’s needs. So far, the quantity of stock seems to be holding steady, and we will continue to monitor and adjust as necessary.

Expanded Selections for exotic and specialty applications 
The selection of specialty stock for Turners and Carvers has increased as demand has expanded in both areas. In addition to high-end exotic species, we also added a large inventory of poplar practice blanks for all the new turners. This hopefully adds an opportunity to hone new skills at a very affordable price.

Special orders
Just a reminder that special orders at Brownwood are made on Monday for Wednesday delivery. If our wholesaler does not carry what you’re looking for, we have a list of specialty providers in the area that carry a wide selection of exotic woods at affordable prices.

Our lumber operations manager and his assistants will serve your needs for lumber of any type thickness and length.  We stock the most common wood species and thicknesses for immediate use by our members.  For lumber in stock, simply get in touch with any of the Lumber Team. 

However, members can order lumber by contacting the Front Desk and completing an order form.  You will need to pay for any lumber you order at the time of delivery. 

The only restriction on ordering lumber is that we will not stock nor order Pressure Treated lumber. Only lumber NOT treated with green cyanide salts is permitted in the shop.  You can use lumber such as "Yellow Wood" in the shop.
