Joe Benkowski is contacting national woodworking magazines to see if there is an interest in writing (or having us write and submit) an article about the VWC.
We are continuing to get the word out about the woodshop since many people (including realtors!) still believe there is a waiting list to join.
We contacted The Villages and The Daily Sun to see about getting the woodshop featured in their various printed and online publications.
If your village sends out a newsletter, please think about asking them to include information about the woodshop. As residents of your village and as members of the VWC, you are in a unique position to promote the shop to your neighbors. If you'd like us to send you a short article about the woodshop to add to your village's newsletter, please contact Becky Carlson.
We'd love to hear your ideas for speakers for future General Meetings. If you know a talented fellow woodworker you'd like to hear from or any topic you'd like to learn more about, please let us know!
