B. Matthews: An email was sent to Instructors asking them to cleanup their upstairs   storage area and to remove all live edge wood from the shop. A new way has been implemented to request inventory restocking for education purposes.  An issue that needs to be addressed, are instructors who waive the pre-requite requirements, especially in turning classes.  This causes safety issues and a burden on other students and the instructors to turn the inexperienced student’s project.  Bob said he’d pull the plug on a class or student in the future to prevent this from occurring in the future.  He opined that all instructors should go through some form of re-certification particularly in the use of the equipment used in their classes. The primary goal is teach how use all the equipment properly and safely.  And proposes recertification and/or training the trainer classes be

held on one or two Sunday’s when the shop is closed.  Also, all new instructors will be required to go through this certification before teaching a class by an instructor and/or instructors identified by the VWC.  Dave Adamovich agrees to assist Bob Matthews in this endeavor; so long it was scheduled for Sunday mornings.   Bob and Dave will get together work on this endeavor.

J.Spallone:  Clean up day update. Tom Ribaudo has agreed to chair the clean up scheduled for March 18th and 19th.  He has set-up 8 teams with team captains. An email will be sent out asking members to remove wood off the racks and in their cubbies.  Dave Adamovich will assist if needed.   Monitors, and Tool Crib volunteers will be working on days to full-fill their volunteer hours.  Front Desk volunteer will work on Friday March 18th and Saturday March 19th.
