President’s Report

Jim Spallone, President

·         We have had 36 new members join in 2016 bringing our total membership to 846. There are 12 members waiting to be certified.

·         There were 176+ visitors who toured our facility during the month of February, thanked all who stepped up and assisted the front desk in providing a tour for these visitors.

·         We’ve been in contact with Mike Burske from the Lady Lake Dept of Parks and Recreation and they have agreed to make repairs to the small section of the golf cart path adjacent to the driving range and retention pond. Mr.Burske stated it will be addressed in a few weeks and he will advise us a few days before they commence the repairs, since the path will be closed for three days and carts will be detoured to the sidewalk along Rolling Acres Road. Mr.Burske will get approval from the Lady Lake Police Department for us to use the sidewalk. Our thanks to Ed Eich for mentioning this matter to the Mayor.

·         We called the Villages regarding a report of sewage smell coming from the area of our septic system. Fred Londersan from the Villages Recreation Dept came to investigate and wasn’t sure if the water was coming from the septic or irrigation system. Mr.Londersan stated he would have both systems checked.  As of this date no report has been issued.  Mr.Londersan also indicated that he would send a crew out to clean up the grounds. This was completed last week.

·         During this busy season our parking lot is mostly at capacity. As a result we have re-allocated two of the motorcycle parking slots for open parking. Thanks to Sandy Fuller for making the covers for the signs.
