Board of Directors Meeting
March 16, 2020
Call to Order
A special board of directors meeting of The Village Woodshop was held on March 16, 2020 at 704 Oak Street The Villages, Florida. The meeting was called to talk about the coronavirus problem and was presided over by Stephan Yovan, Chairman with Byron Porter Jr., secretary. A quorum was established.

Mike Cromwell, Alvin Corenblum, John Scott, Stephan Yovan, Dan Rozko, Alice Besler, John Warner, Judi Meyers.

President’s Report presented by Mike Borfitz
· CDC recommendation is to close for 2 weeks if you have 50 or more people at a meeting.
· We do not possess a safe process to sanitize the equipment.
Alice Besler
· Alice Besler talked about some of the medical aspects of the problems exhibited by the virus.
John Warner
· John Warner proposed the following amendment which was seconded by Judi Meyers and voted on in the affirmative.
o In keeping with the CDC recommendations and the decision of the Recreation Centers, The Villages Woodworkers Club is closing at noon today (March 16) to at least March 31. This closure includes the suspension of all classes and meetings during this time frame. Classes will be rescheduled when possible. Evaluations will be made regularly by the Board of Directors. For those who would like to take projects home, the back door near Maintenance will be open from 8 to 9 on Tuesday and Wednesday (March 17 and 18) for you to pick them up.
o ONLY some maintenance personnel will have authorization to enter the building.
o Any updates will be sent via email and posted on the internet. Thank you all for your cooperation! Take care of yourselves and be safe!

Motion to adjourn was made by John Warner, seconded by John Scott and approved by voice vote.
